My friend Justin owns Audio Visual Arts (AVA), a small art gallery in New York City's East Village. Running a gallery that specializes in sound and visual art means his summer reading list will be big on books dealing with both subjects. But owning a physical location also means getting his hands dirty. When he's not taking friends to dinner at the National Arts Club (thanks, Justin!), he's planning a back garden to his gallery space, and you've got to respect a guy who turns to Goethe to make decisions about what to plant.
